Bryan Harris, Ed.D.

Dr. Bryan Harris has been an educator for over 25 years. He has served as a classroom teacher, an elementary school principal, and a district level director. Now working full time as an author, speaker, and consultant he has trained over 18,000 educators in powerful and effective strategies that increase student engagement and achievement. He is known for his engaging trainings and presentations that demonstrate relevant and practical strategies. He is the author of 5 books including the popular 2010 book Battling Boredom.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Bryan completed both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in education from Northern Arizona University. In 2013, he completed a doctoral degree in educational administration from Bethel University after studying factors that influence new teacher retention. In addition, for over 15 years, has maintained a certification in brain-based learning from Jensen Learning Corporation. In addition to his work with educators across the country, Dr. Harris teaches undergraduate and graduate courses for Grand Canyon University and Arizona Christian University.
PROFESSIONAL & TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Bryan began his educational career teaching language arts and social studies at the middle school level. After several years in the classroom he began a journey into educational leadership and administration. That journey involved serving as a middle school dean of students, a district-level instructional coach, an elementary school principal, and over 10 years as a district-level director of professional development.
